Are you looking to raise chickens of your own in your own back
yard but don't know where to start? Our backyard chickens starter kit gives you everything you will need to raise
a small flock of chickens.
If you already have a chicken coop/shelter and are looking to just get chicks, feed
and maintenance materials the basic kit includes:
1 feeder
1 waterer
1 oyster shell container
1 bag of oyster shell
1 50lb bag of my hand mixed chicken feed
1 bale of
straw or wood shavings for nesting box
5 chicks
= $150
Handmade chicken coops/shelters and accessories can also be purchased if
you do not have one or do not plan on constructing your own.
Your handmade chicken coop/shelter will look very
similar to the one shown above. It includes a nesting box area with a lift up lid for easy egg collection. Roosting
perches inside. A front door with ramp that can be closed and secured for safe sleeping. The top opens up for easy cleaning.
And plenty of room inside for a feeder and waterer. There is real roofing and the coop is designed and sealed to keep
the Colorado elements out so that your ladies stay dry and happy during any storm. The coop also has a built in heat lamp
for your ladies in the winter. There are also handles on either side of the coop so that it can easily be picked up
and moved by two people. Comfortably houses 6 chickens but could house up to 10 if chickens have ample room to run around
outside of coop.
= $500
Don't want to let your chickens have free 100% access to
your yard? We can construct you a chicken run that attaches to our handmade coops. Like the chicken coop, this can easily
be picked up and moved by two people. The run is constructed with strong wire mesh, but birds should still be locked inside
their coop each night for safety from predators digging under run. Chickens need 8 square feet our outside run to live comfortable.
Our run is 8ft tall x 4ft wide x 16ft long = 512 square feet, which would comfortable house 10 chickens.
= $300
Complete Kit (basic kit, chicken coop, & run) = $950
Standard Kit (basic kit & chicken coop) =$650
