This
is a list of our frequently asked questions and our answers to accompany them:
Q: Are you organic?
A: We are not certified organic, but we grow our produce and raise our animals in
an organic manner. By today's standards, we are actually beyond organic in that we also practice sustainable methods
in addition to avoiding synthetic chemicals.
Q: Where is your farm located?
A: Our "home" where we eat and
sleep is in Calhan. This is where we are based out of, and some of our animals reside and we have a small market garden
there as well. But a good deal of the time, we are grazing our animals on someone else's property out east in the
Eastern Plains area. We have several different market produce gardens in and around the Front Range area. So we
are kind of all over the Pikes Peak Region.
Q: How do I go about purchasing
items from you?
A: If you are interested in purchasing items
from us, the best way to go about this is to contact us directly to set up a time for you to come to the farm or arrange to
meet us in Colorado Springs as we do deliveries there at least once a week.
Q:
How can I get involved with Heritage Belle Farms?
A: We love our volunteers and are always accepting of more. We also have
work trade CSA shares available. Please contact us directly for more information.
As
of right now, we are currently looking for 1-2 farm roommates, preferably college students or someone who is interested in
gaining more farm experience. If interested please contact Katie, the farm manager, directly at (970)310-0852.
